Applebee's Grill - Taylor

I had ordered delivery here a while back and shared my experience on the delivery app. I had to share a bit more.First to the delivery order. I ordered the cheese chicken penne and breadsticks. First, I did not get the breadsticks at all. The pasta was cooked to absolute mush. If there was any seasoning in the sauce, it was washed out. The cook obviously just pulled the pasta out of the water and dumped into the sauce without draining. That is what the sauce tasted like...starch water. The end result was basically the paste you made in 2nd grade art class.Now to today, and what prompted me to write this review. I am a patient at Taylor Medical Center and had their chicken cheese penne pasta. It was way better than Applebee's. I mean, this is hospital food, which I usually compare to C rations or MREs. As I took the first bite, it reminded me just how God awful that penne dinner from Applebee's was. The fact that they actually charge money to prepare and serve to people is criminal. If the cooks are that blatantly incompetent and there is that lack of quality control, I am confused about how that place is still open. I would think that losing business from less than institutional grade food or the franchise would have pulled the license and shut it down by now.A true contender for the worst restaurant in Taylor...or Hutto..or anywhere within a 25 miles radius.

Great service. We were greeted by Charly, who was prompt and professional. Our server, Ashly, was quick and helped us choose a good meal. The quesadilla cheeseburger was pretty good.

Disclaimer: I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants especially those with an open bar and loud music. Applebee's provides simple meals for ok prices. Food fine, dessert fine. All went as expected.

A little on the waiting took a while to be seated (not because it was full) because there was just one person taking care of the bar and seating. After we were seated it also took a bit before anyone came to take our orders, but the food was very good ?

Our local Applebee's has had some struggles the last year or so and have literally walked out because we didn't get any service after waiting 30 minutes and after waiting 45 minutes and no food but today service was on point, with limited options for eating out in Taylor we continue to give them the chance to improve
