Piccolo Cafe - Taupo

This was the best dining experience we had in Taupo! The shakshuka was absolutely amazing and I highly recommend it. The special French dish was also exceptional. The portion sizes were generous, and considering the quality of the food, the prices were very reasonable. The staff was incredibly friendly and provided quick service. This is a must-visit for everyone!

Nine golfers enjoyed breakfast at this restaurant for five consecutive days. We returned because the service was exceptional, and both the coffee and food arrived quickly. The presentation may have been simple, but it was excellent in quality. We highly recommend this place to other golf groups visiting Taupo.

We wanted to share our breakfast, so we requested two extra plates. Instead, they served us two separate meals, and both were enormous! Each was more than enough for two meals! We really appreciated that. The food was excellent, and the service was just as good. I highly recommend this café!

My wife and I went to the Piccalo Café for a quick bite. from the moment we went, we were greeted by a warm and friendly service. we felt right away. we love places where the menu is uncomplicated and have good options for keto and vegetarian. the personal is knowledgeable about coffee and product. we ordered a panini and stuffed kumara with salat. the place was very busy, we received our food order within 10 minutes. we choose to sit outside as it was sunny. the tables were clean and tidy. this caffe has good seating in the open and in the inside. eating here is exceptional, very tasty and well prepared. great staff, big owner, big coffee. the atmosphere was cozy and beautiful, certainly my absolute favourite place as a native.

This is a great cafe for breakfast and they make amazing coffee.
