Bidrage med feedbackDuring a bike ride, we stumbled upon a charming community-run café. The homemade cakes were fantastic and offered great value for money. The staff were delightful and provided excellent service.
Stop by this charming café for a delicious cup of tea or coffee and a slice of homemade cake. The friendly women who run it provide a warm welcome and are happy to offer local tips and recommendations. In addition to their tasty treats, they also offer a selection of beautiful greeting cards, locally-made pottery, crafts, and even artwork - all in their cozy little space. It's truly impressive how much they can offer in such a compact environment.
This was our second visit to the Coffee Shop. (We live in the USA We could not wait to come back here. The volunteer ladies make you feel so welcome. The shop is small with tables and chairs. There is more seating outside. This...is a dog-friendly place – they always have bowls of water outside for the dogs. We enjoyed the Roasted Butternut Squash and Red Pepper Soup, Creamy Tomato Soup, Jacket Potato with baked beans and cheese, and a grilled ham and cheese sandwich. Everything is freshly prepared and delicious. We actually came back again the next day and enjoyed a late snack. This time, I had a bowl of Creamy Tomato Soup. My husband had a lemon cake. The three of us shared two Toasted Tea Cakes with butter. Oh my, they were so good. We look forward to our next visit!
Met my cousin and aunt here who'd recently moves to the area. Lovely people running the cafe, delicious cakes and all an absolute bargain! What more could you ask for?
We were surprised to see the community cafe still open at around 3.30pm on a Sunday, so we thought we’d give it a try. All we can say is, call in if you’re passing as the cakes are just delicious. All are home made by residents in the village who take it in turns to run the cafe. It’s so cheap as well!
