Bidrage med feedbackThe menu is very different! With too many options to choose from. We ordered a variety and did a family style which was great.
Although the service was pleasant it took way too long to get the appetizers and main courses to the table. The duck came out well done despite it being medium rare. There were only two pieces of duck breast which was a little stingy.
Another Fabulous Meal!! We've eaten here before and love this place so it was the perfect choice for my fiancee's birthday. You must or appetizer the truffled chick peas , you cannot stop eating them they're so good! The kale salad is so tasty with its deliciously delightful citrus vinaigrette. We shared the pork chop and the duck lasagna appetizer with a side of brussel sprouts for our entrees. This is the 2nd time I've ordered the duck lasagna and it was as delicious as the first time I had it! This place is a gem..we will be back.
Had one of my worst restaurant experience ever last weekend. It took us a half hour to get the server to take our order (and there were empty tables). We asked for bread and got none. We asked again when we found the server and she said they were working on it . Eventually we received a basket with 4 tiny cold, tasteless slices of bread. But we did better than the table next to us who were told they were now out of bread before 7pm! We asked when we get our appetizers and a server (not our original server who was nowhere to be found)said she would look into it but she never returned with a response. Eventually, we felt after waiting almost 90 minutes since we had ordered that we had to leave since we had tickets for a performance that evening. We paid for our wine (which we perhaps should not have inder the circumstances) and grabbed and wolfed down gyro 's at the semi fast food Greek place up the street. Miserable experience at Twisted Oak!
The best thing was the flavors of the food, and I believe that this is why they often get very good reviews. It is clear that the chef is creative and knows what good flavors is, however, the execution needs a lot of work. What seems to be missing is a good “captain” in the kitchen. Two of our three entrees came out raw—Salmon and Duck, whereas the other identical salmon entree came perfectly cooked medium-medium rare. When we sent back the raw entrees they were not replayed for presentation when they were returned to us. In fact, one appeared to be just throw onto a different plate with some of the original ingredients missing, so it had to be sent back again. Very unprofessional! It was clear that no one was taking personal responsibility in the kitchen for execution of the plates. Then, the final straw was that you were not allowed to order anything until the entire party had arrived. Even ordering a simple snack for the table was forbidden. And because one member of our party was delayed we’re were forced to just sit there hungry until everyone was present. The excuse was given that these were the rules of the kitchen and it was busy. We eat out weekly at a variety of restaurants from fine dining to super casual, and I’ve never experienced anything like that. Again, the kitchen seems to have a lot of problems with serving the clients well and without a good kitchen, you don’t have a good restaurant. I doubt we will return since there are so many alternatives to choose from.
