Bidrage med feedbackThe barman was very helpful and friendly, and the surroundings were very pleasant. The meal was great value and I enjoyed learning about the history of the venue. I will definitely be returning!
Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed on Mondays, as we were informed by Tarraleah Estate. However, guests have the option to pre-order dinner for delivery to their rooms. We were able to choose the chef's selection for a two-course dinner and specify any dietary restrictions. The portable bain marie was promptly delivered and set up for dinner. We enjoyed lamb stew with rice as the main course and sticky date pudding for dessert, with ice cream available in the fridge. The portions were generous, with enough leftover for another person. The meal was delicious and satisfying.
During our stay with friends in our caravans, we opted not to cook on our second night and instead visited the open pub on site. It turned out to be a fantastic decision. The restaurant bar area was cozy and welcoming, with glowing fires and plenty of seating options to enjoy a drink before dinner. The food selection was excellent, and the slow-cooked beef cheeks were absolutely delicious. The barman provided excellent and friendly service, along with a fantastic wine recommendation.
We had dinner here, as we were staying on site. The room space is a large area with a bar. Nothing flashy. The menu was basic Australian but a reasonable selection. Our meal was available in about 30 minutes and was about pub food standard. In spite of it being a Bar, there was a choice of just two wines by the glass (a red and a white) so they obviously wanted to sell bottles! With a small wood fire only, the dining area was cool, and we couldn 't wait to get out and back to our room.
Both our meals were prepared and presented beautifully, and tasted first class. The service was great, the fires were roaring. We’ll be back!
