Massarts - Tarentum

I love this little diner. It is open 6am, which is perfect for an early breakfast to get my day going. I also love their cheeseburgers for lunch. Everyone is always friendly.

Not only is this place inexpensive, the breakfast can't be beat. They use fresh, not frozen potatoes, and the bacon is the same as you would use at home, not what you would find at Denny's or the diner in Lower Burrell. Those places use bacon that's thin enough to see through.

Beef tongue, a rare menu item elsewhere, is featured Mondays. It is absolutely delicious. You can cut it w a fork and it's gravy w mashed potatoes is wonderful.
