Bidrage med feedbackStopped over on my way from Canberra to Albury. The coffee was decent, the apple tart was good, and the owner was friendly.
We stopped in Tarcutta for some petrol and noticed the Grinders coffee sign across the road at Coffee@Joes. It was too tantalising not to give it a try. Well, Joe certainly knows his coffee. This place is definitely worth the (very short) detour off the Hume if you are hanging out for a real coffee. The food looked good too, although we didn't give it a try.
This place worth diverting off the highway for. The coffee was excellent, the food fresh and I can also recommend the coffee cheesecake! The assortment of cakes were all homemade and looked as wonderful as my cheesecake. Clean toilets across the road also fantastic. It was interesting that there is a fabulous state of the art truck stop across the Rd. If you have a caravan, there is special large parking spots outside the cafe. The cafe is Next door to a craft shop. Lovely proprietors who were most helpful and who support other local events- told us they'd been to the Batlow ciderfest yesterday, that's where we had been the day before too! We will make this a must stop for future trips! Thanks- we will be back!
Wir sind per Zufall auf dieses kl. Café gestoßen. Kaffee und die Cookies waren eine Sünde wert. Kauften auch guten Honig. Der Besitzer ist sehr nett und aufgestellt. Zu empfehlen.
A quick stopover in Tarcutta on the way to Swan Hill lead us to this unexpected cafe on the Main Street, conveniently near the local toilets. What a joy - Joe was friendly and welcoming and so were his staff. But the best thing of all was the freshly made sandwiches and wraps. I had a felafel wrap - and it was brilliant - crunchy salad and gorgeous felafel - with filling right to the bottom of the wrap. Other options included Kibbe - a luxe minced lamb dish not often seen this far from a capital city. The Ham salad sandwich was in good m, fresh bread with crispy salad and filled right to the edge. No shortcuts here. It was too hot to try the coffee - a Grinders blend - but it was popular with other diners. Joe said he'd been in Sydney but we can thank him for the change of address and will remember this when we're next back this way.
