Bidrage med feedbackIt was not easy to find a way of return on this White Sunday, which was not fully booked. In the Gasthof Zur Grenz in Erlingshofen we were finally found. It lies directly on the B16 from Donauwörth towards Ulm. From the outside, the bright yellow painted building makes a clean and inviting impression. Parking is abundant, in summer there is also a small beer garden. The welcome was very friendly and a place in the next room was soon found. The next room reminded me of an American diner. benches and chairs have a bright red synthetic leather cover, the tables are pretty covered with fabric tablecloths and middle runners. A pot plank with red roses serves as a table decoration. On the wall next to the door hangs an ensemble of watches showing the respective local times of London, Memphis and Erlingshofen. A nice idea. The menu offers a nice selection of dishes on a folded DIN A4 sheet: a soup, a fish dish, five meat dishes, a salad plate and a dessert. Until now, everything was within our expectations. But this changed at the latest when the young service asked us with her cordial way about our wishes. Of course with a friendly smile. She was also very attentive and fast. Questions were answered safely and competently. In between again and again demand whether everything is to our wishes. The head of the house brought us a greeting from the kitchen shortly afterwards. Second surprise we didn't expect. He was also very friendly and accommodating. The greeting from the kitchen consisted of a boat with fresh white bread and a plate with two balls. The right was a butter with sweet home maker sauce, decorated with some grains of red pepper. Simply amazing in taste! The left ball consisted of fresh cheese, mixed with Alfons Schuhbeck's sex spice (no, no typos, that is really so . Very creamy in the consistency with a hint of exotic spices. The feast day soup (4.50 euros with an inlay made of brittle and liver dumplings was perfectly made and excellently tasted. The third surprise was before us at the main courts. Top quality, fresh ingredients, skillfully prepared, plentiful portions, artistically designed and at incredible prices. The cable-jaufilet with rice, paprikagemüse and salad plate (10.50 Euro were exactly two staple fish fillets. Fresh fish, no TK, and absolutely free of bones. On the point cooked, on the inside still indicated glassy. Excellent in bite and in taste. Beautifully decorated with a flower of carrots, fresh thyme, parsley and chives. The paprika was also nicely crisp and well tasted. A bowl of rice was added separately, beautifully decorated with strips of dried tomatoes and fresh parsley. There was also a sour bechamel sauce with fresh herbs. The Schnitzel Wiener Art with fries (10,50 Euro) was not at least impressive. The meat was tender and juicy, the panade golden brown and wavy. Probably baked out floating in the pan. The decoration consisted of a lemon slice, also a strip of dried tomato, and a croquette. A small buffalo of fresh parsley set a color contrast point. The fries were one of the best I had for years. Absolutely well drained, no more oil traces on the surface (maybe made in the oven? . Easy crunchy when biting, inside soft but not soy. Magnificent aromatic flavor after potatoes. Suitable salted. There was a small salad plate for both main dishes. Green salad, field salad, yellow and red carrots, carrot salad, celery, cucumbers, herb salad and radish. Nice crunchy one tasted that all ingredients were freshly prepared. Add a light yogurt dressing and some freshly chopped chives. Conclusion: Top-class cuisine, friendly service and affordable prices. A visit is highly recommended.
