Bidrage med feedbackPerhaps it was just the contrast from Fermentasian the night before, but this wasn't the greatest dining experience in Tanunda. Shiraz pie nice, veggies undercooked, prawns overcooked. Very limited wine selection, but I guess you get what you pay for.
All the more upmarket dining options had menus we did not find interesting so tried the Baccus after reading reviews. Certainly not upmarket but tablecloth's and place was very clean if a little warn. We had the Shiraz Pie which if we had paid double...at an upmarket place we would have felt it was good value, As it was it was exceptional value, veg lightly cooked and wines at less than normal too. Friendly staff Top marks for the Chef.
We were shown a table. when the motel was booked, we were the only ones in there. we checked out the menu using a relaxing drink. my man tried the barossa apple cider. my man ordered a moderate steak. with extras and it was cooked to perfection. I ordered laughs and it was cooked to perfection. after a simple dessert and coffee we were satisfied. compliments to cook.
Had dinner during the stay in the hotel. service was good and the staff very friendly. there was a good selection of options on the menu to appropriate trips. I had the standard Veal Pamigana, which was served with large frits and perfectly cooked vegetables. easy, but good. I also had the continental breakfast in the morning, which was a self-serving buffet arrangement with many choices. the complete breakfast was offered.
This is a return visit for the shiraz pie is delicious as it was this time, pierced hot torte with tightly boiled veg service is pleasant, but this is not a restaurant with style its a pub type without intention and a bit...below. many dare stay in the motel, so bar can be a bit gross, but eating makes it worth it. in the valley with many evening options very expensive and rather small serve the baccus honest food in good quantity
