Bidrage med feedbackI stopped today in the fish and chip shop, it's easy to find not far from the beach. there are parking nearby. the order was quite simple, I took a place in the load waiting for the order. when the order arrived, I went in the direction park to eat my lunch. I had the most amazing fishcake I've ever had here. it was like no other! I could have eaten it alone and it would have had enough for lunch. but I also had a few kartoffel scallops, they were also delicious. I would highly recommend this fish and chip shop.
My wife and I spent nine nights in Tannum Sands due to the recent flooding in Gympie and had plenty of time to try out the local restaurants. During our stay, we had a good experience at this fish and chip shop. The coral trout was excellent and the batter was great with generous portions of chips.
Fish was over boiled, dry, over crumbed. battered fish was tiny compared to the crumb cooked in dirty oil. prawn cutlets obviously imported when they take off the soggy crumb the prawn is about 3cm! also burned sea scales, just boiled over black. they could not have thought that they could fill up chips, but if they cooked in dirty oil, they could. spent $130 threw the partie in the garbage. also they would think that they can use fresh local products near the sea. No.
I am not typically one to leave reviews, whether positive or negative, but this dining experience was poor. The fish was nearly inedible due to its taste. I even tried to scrape off the coating to see if it would improve, but it did not. The chips were average at best. The only saving grace in our entire order was the tartar sauce. We were only grateful for that as we had been on the road all day and didn't have many other options.
Awful fish and chips. The batter is too oily and the whiting had bones in it. Some of the chips were undercooked. The ice cream selection also looked unappetizing.
