Bidrage med feedbackI stopped by for breakfast after spending a night in the area, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. Our waitress was incredibly patient with our large group, which I really appreciated. She was mindful of food allergies, taking the time to ensure that everyone's meals were safe and suitable, especially since several people at the table had ordered the same dishes. I ordered a spiked iced coffee and the Florentine Benedict. It was decent—perhaps not the best I've had, but still good.
The food was decent, but it didn’t live up to our wonderful memories from the previous visit. Last time, we absolutely loved the pancakes, which tasted like vanilla birthday cake with slightly crispy edges—truly amazing. Unfortunately, they seemed to have lost their flavor this time. I wonder if the recipe has changed. It was disheartening. My son enjoyed his French toast, and he said the bacon was well cooked. My husband and I had omelets that were also good. However, the butter packets we opened looked like they had melted and been re-refrigerated, which was a bit off-putting. As always, my husband couldn't resist browsing the whiskey and moonshine selections, and of course, he bought some to take home. That's a whole other review! Overall, I'm not sure if I'd return for breakfast if we find ourselves in this area again for skiing.
As for the food, it was overall quite delicious. I ordered the avocado toast, which had a slightly artificial taste reminiscent of pre-mashed avocados from the deli. While I didn't mind it, I do prefer fresh, chunky avocado. The tomatoes and light sauce helped balance it out nicely. I also tried my husband's potatoes, which were the highlight of his meal (and definitely a standout for me as well)—they were incredibly well-seasoned and perfectly cooked, so well done on that! Another standout dish was my son’s chicken and waffles. They were truly delicious, and everyone raved about them, sneaking bites here and there (to my son's dismay). We also appreciated the touch of hot maple syrup, though the container was quite hot to handle. Lastly, the pancakes were enormous! Everyone was impressed not just by their size but also by their fluffiness and overall flavor. While options in the area are limited, so they could get away with serving subpar food, the fact that they actually deliver good quality is what really makes The Morning Toast stand out.
I recently visited a diner that serves decent breakfast, but there was one issue that detracted from my overall enjoyment of the meal. The avocado toast was served with too much garlic, which overpowered the taste of the avocado and made it difficult to enjoy. While the diner does serve a decent breakfast, the avocado toast was a bit of a disappointment due to the excessive amount of garlic. If you're a fan of garlic, you may not mind this as much, but for those who aren't as fond of the flavor, it can be a bit off-putting. Overall, the diner serves a decent breakfast, but I would recommend being cautious if you decide to order the avocado toast.
We enjoyed a fantastic breakfast on the patio this Saturday morning. The food was delicious, the service was exceptional, and the manager even came over to check on us. To me, that's definitely a 5-star experience!
