Bamboo Beach And Home Stay

Fair price. Good location. Unique accommodation. The best place to watch the sunrise. The water below is clear, I can see the seaweed from above. Everything here is beautiful. But don't expect much. No air conditioning and bed are hard. But still I enjoyed my stay.

The view is amazing and the wooden houses are cute. Perfect if you just want to read your book. Don't expect any luxury or comfort. Don't go off season if you want to do activities. The price for transport is very high and it is not possible to rent your own transport in the hotel. The staff is difficult to communicate with (I think because of a language barrier).

Everything about this hotel is a bit bad. The rooms, while in a cool environment and looking cool from the outside, are completely run down and look like a shed on the inside. Walls are paper thin between rooms. Construction workers were literally building an expansion to the hotel DIY style while we were staying there. (Safe?? Breakfast consisted of plain toast and noodles. Hotel is located 20 minutes walk from an ATM. Far to literally everything. You HAVE to rent a scooter or rely on a local to be able to drive you as there is no taxi service. You cannot, I repeat, cannot, walk anywhere form this hotel. Only one of the staff could speak English and not very well. Constant mismatch between what was agreed upon and what actually happened. This hotel might be cheap but you get basically nothing. Put your expectations of convenience as low as they can go and it's actually a pretty good hotel that offers an unique experience. If you cannot get into that mindset I cannot recommend this hotel to you.

Stayed 3D2N at the resort. S$78 room for 2 nights. It was an hour car ride from the Tanjung Pinang ferry terminal. It has bare minimum facilities. No toiletries provided. Towels looks very old. There was something whitish found on table top and bed, we wiped the table top before placing anything on top of it. Sprayed the bed with insect repellent and laid towels on it to sleep however I was still bitten by something on my second night. No water heater provided in the attached bathroom, it was only provided in the common shower room. Very windy at night, the room bed rocks with the wind. There is no air conditioner but there is a dusty wall fan. You can most definitely hear your neighbours. The newer rooms with full glass windows seems to look cleaner and better. Didn't manage to catch any sunrise as it was cloudy. Breakfast was fried rice and fried noodles bee hoon only. It was too oily for us. Tea and coffee available. Will not choose to go back to this resort next time.

Great location. The restaurant is located on a platform that is raised from the sea. Eating taste is great, something overpriced. You can also book tours and sightseeing from the reception. Seafood in the menu is written per gram, but according to 1Kg = 10 grams :
