Stonewood Grill Tavern - Tampa

The service at this restaurant was fast, very professional, and extremely friendly. The food was average; I ordered the stacked salad (I can't recall the name) and it was served ice-cold, as if it had been prepared in advance and refrigerated. While it's not a big deal for food to be prepped early, the salad was unusually cold, and the tomato slices were so cold and unripe that they were difficult to cut. The wings were decent, but the sauce tasted a bit off. On the other hand, the breadsticks were fantastic - warm, salty, and garlicky. The cocktail was also excellent. Perhaps it was just an off day for the restaurant.

My family and I had an amazing experience at this restaurant on December 29, 2023 for my sister's wedding reception. Despite having a party of 20, our server, David, provided exceptional service. He was funny and very helpful, even though I found it surprising that we only had one server for such a large group. The food and drinks were both fantastic. We brought in a wedding cake, and David kindly stored it in the kitchen until we were ready for it. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I visited this restaurant with my children while we were in town for Busch Gardens. The hotel recommended it, mentioning that they were known for their drinks. My kids ordered the standard kids' meal with fries, while I decided to try the chicken pot pie, which was a chef's recommendation. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing choice. The chicken seemed undercooked and consisted of strips without breading, mixed with sauce, vegetables, and a crusty bread-like substance on top. The dish did not taste good, so I only took a few bites before leaving it uneaten. The server was not very attentive, as my drink remained empty for most of the meal. When I went to pay, the server took my credit card and disappeared for a long time, making me eager to leave. I was also frustrated that the restaurant did not bring the credit card reader to the table, as is common in Europe. Overall, I would not return to this restaurant if I were in the area and looking for a place to eat.

For my Birthday dinner at Stonewood Grill, we had a phenomenal time. The atmosphere, the staff, and food was dynamic. Thank you Stonewood for the memories.

Waitstaff and bartenders are great, food is barely ok. Covid may have something to do with recent food prep but it wasn’t all that great before.
