Bidrage med feedbackWhen I walked in I noticed it was very dark and stuffy. The place seemed very old. A girl came from the back, didn’t speak, didn’t acknowledge me at all. I asked her if they had the fried chicken and she just nodded. She was looked down at her phone the entire time. She was literally scrolling on her phone. I said I wanted fried chicken with yams and Mac. She said NOTHING. She was still strolling on her phone. She said “you said you wanted what?” I turned around and walked out. Every time I try to support a black owned business, they fail me each and every time. I won’t be coming back under any circumstances. They had not one customer in there. You’d think she’s be happy to serve me. Guess whatever was on her phone was more important.UPDATE- To respond to the owner. This was yesterday approximately an hour before closing. It was a young black girl with some type of hair color in her hair with black roots. Natural hair. She was on her phone scrolling while I was ordering. It was as if she did not want to be there, as she was not attentive at all while I was ordering. Didn’t even greet me upon arrival.
Heard about this place from word of mouth, thankfully. Came here and had amazing food.Price is not expensive for what you are getting, and the value is definitely there. Quality is definitely on point and is worth every penny. My only knock was the lemonade was too sweet, but that's personal preference.Be warned. There isn't much seating.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian side orders.Kid-friendliness: Kids would enjoy the food.Parking: Parking lot is being repaved. Park at library
Ordered the Large Dirty Shrimp Plate and was well pleased. The taste of the sausage alone was worth the price, shrimp, corn and pasta were a bonus. Small location with a couple of booths for sit down dining, but mostly take out service. The food was absolutely wonderful. Was in town on business and will definitely return on my next trip.
By far the best soul food. YOU HAVE TO GO HERE. I got the captains platter, fried shrimp, oysters, catfish, crab, with collard greens and mac and cheese. The seafood was fire and the sides slapped! 10/10.
The food was okay, not my favorite but it was decent. There is a extra fee of like 6 dollars if you use your credit or debit card so make sure you bring cash. I would stop by again if im ever in the area.
