Bidrage med feedbackUsually i don’t like to add bad reviews but after my experience here I felt it was only fair to be honest and make sure other people know what to expect. First off the staff was on their phones and seemed quite distracted when I placed my order. I asked for a kids temp drink. I sat and sat and no one called to let me know my order was ready. When I got it, it was scalding hot. I went to the counter and asked for some milk to add. The cup was 1/2 full and she added a drip and then I was rudely told “it’s not boiling”. Tell that to my tongue that was burnt. This drink was $8 and then the staff went back to their phones and personal conversations. This place needs a lesson in manners and customer services. Will NOT be back. Go somewhere else and pay less and be treated better.
I’m going to be brutally honest here. Nice atmosphere, friendly service, good location, peaceful outdoor area. So why only 2 stars? First, the wait for my coffee and food was a good 20 plus minutes which is way way too long. I get it, a place can get busy, but there was one person ahead of me who ordered just a coffee. I think the main cook was in the bathroom or something, but regardless I waited and it was annoying especially when no one apologized for the extremely long wait time for just a coffee and a sandwich. Next, I think the pricing was a bit high. For example, I paid $9 for a Cuban breakfast sandwich, that wasn’t that good (or at least could have been much better for that price). Also my coffee was just average. Would I come back to Foundation? Despite my subpar 1st time experience, I probably would give them a second chance because the server was nice and I like the atmosphere of the cafe. Hopefully, the long wait I experienced was a one off.
Great place to hang out with some friends or read a book. Great selection of craft coffees and signature drinks. I wasn't sure what I wanted to get and the barista Jerod suggested I get the Honey Cinnamon Expresso and it was a great suggestion! Sit by the windows and watch the chickens pecking away outside.
This is a really nice place. The coffee is excellent and there are a lot of food options. The decor is very pleasant. I would say, however, that it is not the best spot to do work in for a long time. But it is very suitable for an hour or two. It's a good place to start in the am followed by a walk around the confines of Ybor City. Although the rehabilitation of the neighborhood is still pretty much in its infancy, a long stroll in and around the side streets can be quite interesting. And its never completely quiet, as you are certainly going to encounter many Roosters simply walking about a pretty unique site indeed.
Eh. It’s okay coffee, but I think there are much better places in Tampa. Coffee is very sour tasting- without syrup, I don’t think I’d be able to enjoy it that much. Overall, pretty average.
