Bahn Thai recently reopened at their new location on 2531 Apalachee Parkway in Tallahassee, Florida, and is currently only accepting takeout orders. Although they have a limited selection of vegan dishes, including yellow curry, panang curry, red curry, green curry, and drunken noodles, the quality and taste make it worthwhile. In addition to their main dishes, Bahn Thai also offers a variety of tasty vegan appetizers such as veggie gyoza, avocado spring rolls, vegetable samosas, fried tofu, and vegetable spring rolls. Customers can customize their orders, such as substituting mushrooms for zucchini in the panang curry. Please note that rice noodles are not available, but all dishes come with rice. Overall, Bahn Thai is a must-try for those looking for authentic and flavorful Thai cuisine in Tallahassee.

The server informed us that most menu items contain fish sauce, except for the curries and a couple of appetizers. I tried the samosa appetizer, which was $6.99 for five very small samosas. The Panang curry was tasty, but they charge an extra $1 for additional white rice. Unfortunately, the masaman curry mentioned by another reviewer is no longer available on the menu.

Kitchen had several vegan options, but not as many as some Thai restaurants due to fish sauce being used. However.... this restaurant has the best masaman curry i have ever had anywhere. Amazing, 5 stars. Yum. Avocado spring rolls are also amazingly good.

Update: I recently went for dinner for the first time and it was a great experience. While the prices are higher in the evening, the portions are large enough to share. My daughter and I split an order of spring rolls and tofu Panang curry. It was so good and we were stuffed. Bahn Thai is great again. Thanks to new ownership, I can wholeheartedly endorse Bahn Thai. Each meal is made fresh to order. The red and yellow curries with tofu are my favorites. Asking for mild will give the dish a little kick. I'm not brave enough, but if you want full heat, ask for Thai hot. I go almost weekly it is definitely one of my new favorite places to go.
