Bidrage med feedbackWe were coming back from Bastia when we spoted the restaurant sign. We were hungry and it was getting late so we decided to give it a go. It was fairly quiet, only a few tables mind you it was 9 pm already. We were sat down quickly and received the menus. There was only one waiter but the service was prompt. Drinks were taken quickly so was food order. We only had mains as it was a bit late and we still had a bit of driving after. As i was a passenger I ordered house wine, which turned out to be delicious. Food arrived around 15 mins once we have ordered, my pork fillet was massive and took me at least half an hour to finish it. Food was delicious, so we stayed a bit longer. Location is very quiet and very secluded. Prices are affordable too. It is really worth a visit!
I went for dinner with friends to try the restaurant and food after reading other reviews. I must say food was a good quality and not overpriced. Service we received was also good, no rush and no hassle at all. Nice location, nice indoor and outdoor, music was spot on A MUST try
We found this gem more by luck than judgement, by following the sign from the main road. The staff were very welcoming and so too were the other customers. The patrons all spoke to each other and were from a variety of countries. The gardens were beautiful. The food was fresh, tasty and portions were large. We both went for local dishes and were very pleased. The wine too was local and flowed easily. This was easily one of the cheapest meals we had despite not having pizza, which was also on the menu. A wonderful meal and evening out and would highly recommend a visit.
There must be a thousand and one pizzerias in Corsica but trying to find a proper restaurant proved a task. However, only 5 minutes away from where we were staying we found this gem. We decided to eat early on a Saturday evening and turned up without booking. A very pleasant waiter said we could sit wherever we liked and we sat on a terrace overlooking the garden which was well kept. Neither of us have a very large appetite and guessed that the portions would probably be small and decorative. Wrong. We chose the 3 course Corsican menu and I started with fish soup. This was served in a tureen with enough soup for 2 people easily. Croutons, Emmental and rouille were served in the bouillabaisse style and it was excellent (see picture). My wife chose beignets de fromage and could only manage half the serving. Wild boar casserole and dorade were next. The chef's vegetable dishes were very different from any other we have tried. Fruit salad contained a huge variety of fresh fruits. The tarte of the day was citron. I was surprised when a slice of lemon meringue (not my favourite) turned up. But when I tasted it............beautiful short crust pastry with a fresh lemon filling and the lightest meringue ever! All this was after an amuse bouche of croutons and tapenade with a fluid cheese dip. We were so full that we declined the offer of a liqueur of our choice on the house. Excellent service and food all at a reasonable price in a lovely setting. Well recommended. And you can also get a takeaway pizza here!
