They have a few locations in Taipei. This location in Songshan is located next to the Japanese vegan restaurant Hoshina, which is under the same company. The selection is bread and baked goods here is good. The staff is also friendly and helpful.
It is rare to find all bakeries with more than one vegan item in taiwan, and this specific location of yihetang (or they goofily spell it with some non-standard Taiwanese system of romance that I refuse to use) is 100% vegan. they even make the caption sea salt butter of the chain with soybutter croissant. Unfortunately, like other Taiwanese bakeries, their bagels are only bagel-shaped broth, not real bagels. they have baked, broth, desserts and soy milk. go sooner rather than later on the day for the best selection. enjoy the Japanese service where they are greeted when entering and are recognized during their departure. — I've been hitting more recently than hits. for example, the sweet potato cheese bread was mostly fluffy brot with some small pieces of sweet potatoes and no cheese to show. similar experiences with their pizzabrot. it is disappointing to be deceived in thinking, it becomes more to their products than just broth. at this price point they would think that it is more to their products. Moreover, almost everything has the same fluffy texture, even if it is a baked good that should not be (e.g. cake, croissant, bagel, pineapple beer). it is nice that they have started accepting credit cards and they sell their own soy milk, but in plastic bags.
Great bakery where you don’t have to worry about whether what you’re grabbing is vegan or not. The cheese stick is legit as hell. Bought several of them and regretted not buying more.
So many incredible and delicious options. everything is fresh and tasty, and every location is consistent and comfortable.
Finally a place where they sell vegan pineapple tarts, and they‘re tasty. I also tried some of their buns and biscuits also worth a try! The staff was chirpy and kind.
