Bidrage med feedbackWe had a nice meal prior to visiting the cité du chocolat. All dishes have a chocolate twist . The choice of dishes is wide, e.g. different main dishes, which you can choose according to your own preferences in terms of chocolate. Very good...explanations from the chef. You feel welcome, a VIP and on a discovery tour. I was disappointed with the brownies as desert, but the soup and main dishes were excellent and original. Would come back if in the area. The menu deal they propose is excellent value for money.
In the opinion of my wife and I, Valrhona chocolate is simply the best. The gift shop and museum are amazing and well worth spending hours. The restaurant......not so much. It's a self serve canteen with no atmosphere and bland food.Tragic given the quality associated...with the Valrhona brand. If you want a casual, inexpensive yet delicious lunch then go to La Lanterne. l
On the main through fare of the bucolic village of is the most delicious chocolate factory and retail shop. Enter through the glass doors and you are surrounded by assorted varieties of chocolates... cellophane bags, boxes, pre made pre assorted, pick your own assortment,...cooking chocolates, supplies for hot chocolate! And chocolate bars... There are a tall lucite tubes each filled with Different varieties of chocolate all to sample! And, in bright red ceramic dishes assortments are put out for sampling! The shop is bright, red , black and white and modern. The sales associates are very helpful. Your purchases will be packed in beautiful black shopping totes with gold letters and red grosgrain ribbon handles. Be careful crossing the street!
