Bidrage med feedbackIf you're in the mood for traditional Filipino comfort food that brings back nostalgic memories and has stood the test of time, such as goto lugaw, pork sinigang, fried chicken, litson kawali, monggo, adobo kangkong, then Kanteen is the place to be! What sets this restaurant apart is not just its menu, but the high quality of food and service that deserve a top rating. They also offer classic Ilonggo favorites like kansi and batchoy, without the trendy fusion twists that other Ilonggo restaurants have added. Kanteen's dishes stay true to the traditional Filipino flavors, but with a delicious twist. I tried their goto and it was perfectly seasoned with a hint of ginger, tender ox tripe, generous portions, and all at an affordable price of P135. I came for a quick lunch, but will definitely be returning to try more dishes that my friends have raved about.
My friends and I had lunch at this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. We ordered family-style dishes for our group of 8, including the delicious pork sinigang, Bakareta (their version of caldereta, which was flavorful and tender), and crispy pata (a crispy and tender favorite). We will definitely be returning to try more dishes from their menu.
Kanteen at Bonifacio Global City, located next to St. Luke's Medical Center, offers delicious Ilongo cuisine. Ilongo dishes originate from the provinces of Iloilo and Negros in the Philippines. Specialties include KBL (kadios, baboy and langka), batchoy, and various other traditional dishes. While the restaurant is simple, the service is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. Though it can be a bit noisy at times, it is still possible to have a conversation. Unfortunately, starting in November, they no longer serve Coke products and have switched to Pepsi. As a fan of Coke Light/Diet Coke, I have stopped visiting Kanteen since then. It's a shame.
My friends & I had lunch here as a birthday celebration. We did family style sharing, for a group of 8. We had pork sinigang (yummy!), Bakareta (their twist on caldereta, so flavorful & tender!), crispy pata (so crispy & tender) & shanghai. We'll definitely come back to try their other menu items.
I am Indian visited this restaurant for second time and found compatible with Indian taste. Overall a nice place to find variety of Asian foods here. Service and ambient is good.
