Bidrage med feedbackWe went last Saturday to eat a pizza but after more than an hour of waiting we left without eating. Meanwhile people arrived after us were quietly served. All seasoned by the antipathy and ill-education of the owner who instead of apologising for the wait has hurt us words. To avoid absolutely.
In Tagliacozzo (AQ) for Ferragosto, I wanted to celebrate my wife's birthday with my relatives, in the restaurant "Da Claudio" that I remembered to be in San Donato di Tagliacozzo: the COVID however left it still closed. Instead it was opened its “Rosticceria and Pizzeria” in the city center and, with a pre-reserved reservation, that day a table was all for us. The simple and cosy room, the gentle little and genuine, put us immediately at ease: the beautiful however would have arrived at the first courses. Opted to leave the menu to their imagination, here come to our eyes, sperlunghe of cheeses, eggplants, meats, focacce, tomatoes and I don't remember what if not that the procession lasted almost an hour. Two abundant first dishes: homemade tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, followed by gnocchetti in a heavenly sauce, both wet by mouthfuls of red wine of the house, fresh and descending like water to warm the hearts. When we were commensali we already mouthed not for the heat (perfect air conditioning), but for the symptoms of a pleasant satiety, here is that Claudio presents himself with gloves filled with smokers grilled consisting of slices of tender vitella, abbey, sausages, spits twisted by straw tomatoes and salad. Not to mention that served separately and baked potatoes tender and tasty. When we surrendered almost without fighting, it was the turn of sparkling wine, toast and coffee, followed by digestives. Over four hours in that room, surrounded by sincere friendliness, but above all by a genuine food that comes from their farms. And the promise that very early, even in San Donato, will be operational. Thanks Claudio, Consilia, Eleonora: your warmth has transformed a birthday, into an “Event”.
You climb along the road from Tagliacozzo to San Donato, the view is very beautiful. Claudius and family have been working for more than thirty years with conscience and honesty. Excellent homemade pasta and pizza. You eat well without spending too much.
From noodle we climb for about 7 km and we find the restaurant from Claudio located in San Donato in the meantime outside the room we can enjoy a breathtaking view as a starter then inside instead we can enjoy the autochthonous products made by them and divinely cooked at reasonable prices. Pultroppo for disabled people with wheelchairs there are difficulties for the bathroom, very small .Sicccome the dishes are made at the moment and' evident that you have to wait a little more but worth the wait, prepared and sympathetic staff, place recommended also for pizza from what they told me , but I did not try it. Congratulations to the staff.
It was a real discovery! Very welcoming environment. Extraordinary staff. Very good feet! We ate: appetizers consisting of cutters with meats and cheeses of own production, grilled vegetables and sublimation, zucchini with strips under oil INDIMENTICABILI, cocottine with beans and sausage, animelle... and much more. Then we ate some fantastic mega ravioli, handmade, filled with ricotta and spinach DELIZIOSI and spaghetti on the guitar seasoned with sausage and exceptional mushrooms. Second, we opted for a mixed grill: delicious meat and the famous Abruzzo roasters with a contour of extraordinary baked potatoes. And then fresh fruit at will, coffee and an INDESCRIVIBILE UNICA cake! I keep a fantastic memory of this place! And I hope to come back soon! Congratulations!
