Bidrage med feedbackDuring our day trip to Waterton, we decided to visit the famous Prince of Wales Hotel. Instead of opting for high tea, we chose to have lunch there. We ordered burgers that were absolutely delicious. The service was friendly and the dining room had a lovely view of the lake.
The service was excellent, the scenery was stunning, and the food was decent. We tried the trout and bison, but both were too salty and seemed a bit pricey for the portion size.
We had such a cheery and charming waitress, Tatum, who made the evening delightful! The bison sirloin was tender and flavorful and paired nicely with red wine. We highly recommend and suggest you make reservations.
The building is amazing and well preserved. Even just visit the lob y bar for a drink and take on the ambiance and amazing view. The menu I think is well done, local proteins with game options and simple classic dishes. The charcuterie board is a feat to take down. Really generous. It has a bit of that Fairmont feel with the old landmark buildings, but not quite as refined or upscale. I think it's a must if you're in the area. A peace of history.
Although the breakfast buffet fare is rather ordinary, it is good ... and there is no place on earth you can have bacon, eggs, and a sweet roll with this view!!!!
