Salt City Soup Co. - Syracuse

On a business trip we found this via Google. When we got to the location we thought we must be on the wrong area as it is a business park. We went into the office building and found the restaurant on the first floor. Food selection was somewhat small however it all sounded fantastic. When we got the soups and sandwiches they were really, really good and tastey. An out of the way place for really great soup and sandwiches.

I had the turkey and bacon with rosemary mayo, it was delicious. My colleague had the butternut squash soup and really liked it as well. Highly recommend.

Why are the places that are harder to find always so so good?! Roast beef sandwich was juicy and flavorful, chicken sandwich was tender and fresh, the sweet potato fries here are absolutely unreal and they come with this maple dipping sauce that changes the flavor entirely into some sort of french toast/sweet potato fry amalgamation(please try these! Regular french fries were cooked perfectly as well. Order was correct and on time. Portion sizes were perfect. Was a little difficult to find the building but still giving 5 stars because WOW that was probably one of the best lunches I?ve ever had. Usually would add photos but was too excited to dig in!

First time eating was great. I feel like it's a hidden gem being tucked away inside an office building. I can't recommend this place enough. The food is delicious and fresh. The staff are very friendly and are amazing at preparing the food.

Food is great for lunches but it doesn't come out quick. The place is like a mini cafe, so don't bring a crowd. The place might be hard to find too. Look for signs or people walking nearby for directions.
