Don Juan - Syracuse

I had planned on getting the pulled pork plate with beans and rice, but the lady in front of me ordered the pepper steak combo and they put so much meat in it that they could hardly close the lid! That was enough for me to ask for the same thing. However, I didn't quite get the same proportions as she did! I received a nice scoop of rice, a few beans on top, and about a quarter of the amount of meat as the lady in front of me. When I went to pay, I was charged $15.12. I asked why the lady in front of me, who had the same thing, was charged less. It turns out she ordered a small, which is less costly even though it comes with more meat. It was a bit confusing, but perhaps it was because I was dressed more formally, not Spanish-speaking, and pale. I took the food back to the office, and it was still quite hot. Unfortunately, it did not have the flavor that I was hoping for with authentic Puerto Rican food. The meat was tender but only had two very small slices of peppers in my portion. The rice and beans were tasty enough as a side. It was decent, but nothing really special. I may go back and give it a second chance, but next time, I might go with my less pale daughter-in-law and have her order!

This restaurant is beautiful and has the friendliest staff. The food always tastes great and is consistently fresh. The dining room is also one of the cleanest I've been in, making it a pleasant place to enjoy a meal.

This restaurant was excellent. The price for everything you receive is perfect. I tried the beans, yellow rice, carnitas, and yuca - all very flavorful and delicious. I would definitely return without hesitation.

I have been coming to this restaurant since my first year at PSLA High School, and it is definitely my favorite place to go. I may be biased because this is where I met some of my best friends, but the food is also amazing. The beef empanadas are incredibly flavorful and taste like real meat, unlike the soggy American burgers. They are perfectly crunchy and always warm, and the rice is fantastic - I always say I will save some for later, but I end up eating it all because it is just so good. The staff is friendly, and I can smell the food as soon as I walk in the door. I love coming here. They even offer a student discount, which is really helpful for freshmen and sophomores who don't have jobs. It is within walking distance from the school, and the friendly staff and delicious food always make for a comforting and enjoyable experience that I look forward to every time.

I visited Wolfs last night only to find that they were closed. The woman working there graciously let me in and served me a meal. I was blown away by the delicious and piping hot fried pork she prepared for me. She even packed up some leftovers for me to take home. After paying and leaving a tip, she gave me some complimentary planners as well. It was my first time dining there, and the food was so delicious and satisfying that I will definitely be returning in the future.
