Danzer's German American Gasthof

We went there for tge first time since it has been reopened. The Reubans. Were delicious and the waitress was wonderful!Only reason I gave 4 stars was because there was an odor from the building itself. Smelled musty.

The food was excellent, and the portions were generous. However, there was only one waitress attending to a large number of customers, which resulted in less-than-stellar service. This wasn’t the waitress's fault; the restaurant manager should have scheduled more staff for a Thursday night.

After visiting my father, who is currently having a difficult temporary stay in Loretto, my mother and I decided to stop for a late lunch. The waitress was incredibly friendly, personable, and sympathetic to our situation. She recommended the soup of the day, which was a Philly cheesesteak soup, and it was absolutely amazing! I felt like demanding the recipe from the kitchen—it was that good! As soon as I got home, I turned to Pinterest but couldn't find anything that compared to it. My mother ordered the roulade and said it was as good as what her mother used to make. I had the pork, which was very good, though a bit dry. The warm potato salad was excellent, and it came with some simple yellow squash, which I suppose was a healthy choice. I ended up leaving the squash, but we will definitely be back, as many items on the menu looked enticing and made it hard to choose!

Very good experience, beautiful atmosphere. I have the big reuben, it was very good, but it had a good amount sour kraut. the sourd is very good, but is shocking if you don't expect it. everything was great!

We loved eating it was great and they could do our party of 10 without problems. When we arrived there, our table was set up so that we could eat together.
