Ilda - Sylva

What a gem of a find! A local friend suggested this place to me while I was on vacation in the area. I can 't believe the former Meatballs restaurant (which I loved in college) is now a classy, thoughtful, close-to-gourmet restaurant. It is funky and cool inside, the owners ' story is fascinating, the the food is worth the trip wherever you 're coming from! We had everything from cocktails and appetizers to mains and dessert, and it was all delicious and artfully presented. I come from a big city now with lots of James Beard award winners within walking distance, so I have a discerning palate. Ilda is a destination. Go now!

Interesting food beautifully presented. Service was good. We had dinner there tonight and the appetizers were creative and delicious. The cocktails were interestingly developed and thoroughly enjoyed. Our three entrées were the rigatoni, the risotto, and the fettuccine. Nicely prepared with excellent pasta and well selected ingredients in the sauces. The only suggestion is that if they are going to advertise the fettuccine as having country ham in it you should be able to see and taste it much more readily. It was there, but barely. It was an excellent fettuccine with cream sauce though, very satisfying if not seeking country ham. We will definitely return!

One of the best restaurants I?ve ever been to! The food, drinks, atmosphere, and service are all impeccable! As a vegetarian, the vegetarian option did not sound incredibly appealing and so I just asked our waitress if it would be possible to get something else and I mentioned what I had last time and how much I loved it. They were so incredibly accommodating and gave me an absolutely phenomenal dish! My husband and I visited it a month ago and quickly booked a reservation for our overnight in Sylva since it was so phenomenal! And I am looking forward to my visit in March when I come back with my ladies! It?s that good! Very reasonably priced as well and the portions are filling!

Phenomenal. Yummy southern Italian inspired cuisine including delicious pastas, daring apps and skilled cocktails. Staff is friendly, ambience is cozy in the mountains love it!

This restaurant is awesome! We arrived late at 8:25 pm, and they still took order for us even though they close at 9 pm. Also, we love the server (a girl with short hair, called Lydian? cuz she is super friendly and took great care of our meal: The tiramisu and squid entree are so delicious! My husband ordered the lamb entree and he loved it too! Highly recommend!!! I would visit again and try their cocktail next time.
