Umi Sushi & Udon - Sydney

The service at this restaurant was terrible. We had several different waiters and 3 out of the 5 meals we ordered never showed up. Despite asking 5 times, no one could provide us with an answer about our missing food. We had to keep getting up and asking what was going on. The pathway to the bathroom went through the restaurant's kitchen, which was extremely dirty. The worst part was seeing cockroaches on the floor.

Toro Tuna Sashimi A must try. Umi is located on the strip of the Darling Quarters. It has a sushi train, and there are some outdoor seating. Grief We wanted comfort food in a cold night, so we decided for udon noodles. After we looked at the menu, we decided for Spicy Wagyu Udon, Teriyaki Chicken Udon, Beef Tataki, Spider Roll, Grilled Wagyu Sushi, Toro Sashimi, Child Doll Meal (Choice of ABROS or Apple Juice, Udon Noodle Soup, Tuna Mini Sushi, Algae, Fruit Salad and green tea ice cream). Grief The Wagyu Sushi did not look fresh when it was garnished with shallots that were dried out. After pressing it on the side, the Wagyu was a bit strong. The sauce was nice, beautiful smoky flavors, but the rice did not taste fresh. My Wagyu Udon lacked the "spice factor", disappointed as the menu "spicy" said. Had no beer or wine in the restaurant, hot pot was low quality and bland, most food cheap and frozen. sushi was good, service was good.

Foods were beyond average, service was very messy and slow. It wasn't even a busy night however they managed to drop all the standards. Very unlikely we will be back

We dinner had here and despite the appealing menu, which has a wide selection of dishes, the udon was poorly prepared and presented. The other dishes lacked taste. The service was appalling very hard to get any service; the main courses arrived before the...entrees; the first dish (main) was served 40 minutes before the last main course dish; drinks were hard to come by and again served hap hazardly. Also the amount of plastic waste and other waste generated particularly in the sushi train was staggering
