The Dining Room, Park Hyatt Sydney

My wife and I were very disappointed with the $140 bill for our meal at the restaurant. We found the food to be subpar and it really put a damper on our evening.

I had high hopes for dinner at this restaurant and had planned to reserve a window seat in advance (for an extra $40). Upon arrival, the restaurant was not busy and there were a few window seats available. We took a chance and were seated at a window table with a large pole blocking the view of the port. When we asked the maitre de if this was actually a window table, my wife had to request to be moved to a different table. Despite contacting the Hyatt ahead of time to confirm my membership number and use points for payment, this was not possible when settling the bill. The food was okay but very expensive for what it was. The fish dish was terrible, although our waitress did not charge us for it. The service personnel were the highlight of the experience, but overall we were disappointed and unlikely to return.

The location of the restaurant is fantastic! We paid $40 per person for a guaranteed view, but upon arrival the only thing we could see was a column in front of our table (they moved us when we asked). We got a better table, but the window was so dirty that it was hard to see outside. The food was mediocre - the oysters were small, the fries were like ones from a grocery store, and the beef with bresaola on top was good, but lacked enough bresaola. The steak was on the bone, but very fatty. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

Amazing experience the food was delicious the atmosphere was incredible would definitely recommend

The food took time so long than I expected. Waiter said it take the time to it 45 minutes. We were fine on that when we got the food after 1 more hour
