Guylian Belgian Chocolate Cafe - Sydney

I had a short coffee break here, from a walk in the CBD. The guylian mocha was small but tasty, similar to starbucks. I liked the small peaceful glass-lobby where you can sit, just next to the café. The service was fast, but the small size and ok taste (I expected guylian-like taste) make the mocha slightly overpriced.

Went to grab a quick bite before a movie. Service is fine, but food is old and tastes bad, the coffee was bad too - also everything is overpriced. Not worth it.

Okay, so where do I start.. Firstly, I was very excited when I knew that they are opening a branch at Townhall. I have been to the one at Circular Quey and Darling Harbour and the ambiance, food and the service was spot on. To my surprise, it was far way different from what I have experienced in other branch. I've ordered a hot chocolate, and it was just to diluted! I do not know what happened, but the taste was aweful! I couldn't believe that they serve it at Guylian as I have really high expectation from them. Also, they serve it in a take away cup even if you're drinking it there. In addition, I ordered cake and they served it in a paper plate with a plastic cutlery. really?? for a $15 cake..you would have expected to serve it nicely, at least not in disposable plate and cutleries. It's just nt classy, at all.  felt like I am not at Guylian, at all..very sad. Also, ladies who serve are just snobbish, not welcoming at all, I feel like they hate the world LOL.. So, after a month or 2, I thought to go back and try other stuffand thought they might have changed how they serve and with quality. I had green tea for drink and a chocolate and raspberry mousse. The lady handed me the chocolate mousse with a plastic spoon straight away, but without any plate....seriously? I don't know what's happening here, but where is the class? Oh I had that to eat there but my tea was still in a take away cup, with actually a double cup, which looks very tacky...I think the lady inteded to do that because it was very hot. Still, would have been better if served in a nice cup. I so love chocolates but for a lot of reason, the only positive thing about this cafe for me was the place,,, very n ice.. So there, I've had enough of this cafe.. never coming back.

Best cafe in the city. I have my breakfast here everyday. And good thing is it also opens till late so every time if I feel like having a late night coffee I would come as well!
