Bidrage med feedbackSituated in the bustling food court of 52 Martin Place is marketplace-inspired café Delisse which serves an array of fresh, authentic French style breakfast and lunch menu items. The windows are lined with the most vibrant range of baguettes, croissants, sandwiches, salads, pastries and mini desserts.
I dropped by delise for a takeaway coffee which was a little strong for my taste. However the service was friendly and prompt. They also had an attractive looking selection of sandwiches, bagels and baked goods. You can get a regular coffee and a pastry for $6.80 which isn't a bad deal. The location is the real plus with this cafe right near Wynyard station.
A favourite place of mine to pick up a quick and easy breakfast or a salad/sandwich for lunch. The desserts are delicious here and the salads and sandwiches are freshly made and taste great. Coffees here are pretty good too. This morning I picked up a Croque Monsieur and a Mocha. Both were very nice.
The focus at this restaurant is on serving fresh, wholesome, French-inspired food that is affordable. They offer generously filled baguettes, hearty salads, soups, hot pies, quiches, and a variety of house-made French pastries, cakes, and bread. Whether you need a quick, convenient, healthy lunch or a sweet French treat, Delisse is perfect for the typical office worker crowd. The service is quick and most items are made in-house. Be sure to try their authentic, unique kouignettes - they are sure to impress!
We ordered two skim cappuccinos and were promptly served. The coffee was excellent, very creamy and didn't need any sugar (which is unusual for me, as I have a sweet tooth!). While we enjoyed our coffees, my sister spoke highly of Delisse, especially their $10 lunch deal. This deal allows you to choose two items from a selection of options, including a bowl of soup, half a sandwich, a small salad, or a quiche. My sister usually goes for the soup and salad combo, as there are always four different soups to choose from, ensuring there is something to satisfy any lunchtime craving.
