Bidrage med feedbackThis little surprise in the middle of a (pretty miserable) food court on Castlereagh Street is fantastic! The menu mostly consists of salads and burgers.
Very funky and good quality products. But with one cook, the food takes forever. More focus on churning through new orders then getting the food out.
Had I not been introduced to Crisp by a colleague, I would not have known it even existed. The subterranean food court burger and salad joint is located between Pitt and George Street, along with a few other takeaway shops. They do a great job - tasty food, fast friendly service, and great value for money. It couldn't have been more than a five minute wait for my Aloha burger and fries. Served on a rye bun, it was a hearty and satisfying meal.
I had chicken roll and it was well cooked, would be nicer if it has a slice of tomato or lettuce. The roll was nice and soft. Friendly staff and very fast service.
THE MENU IS LIKE CHOICES OVERLOAD! So I really appreciated that they had several specialty burgers to choose from AND a selection of salads. BIG TICK for being versatile to be there when I need comfort food and again for a guilt free healthy choice! I honestly don't know how Crisp seasons their burgers or how they make their aioli, but however they do it and whatever they put in it, it's incredible. I talked to the lovely owner, Mel about everything except that because I need the recipe! Make your order and step to the side because there are hungry people behind you. But dont worry this team of cooks know exactly what they are doing because the wait for me was less than 7 minutes in a line of about 6 people. So i was a bit peckish because I missed breakfast. I opted for the ALOHA BURGER (Wagyu, Bacon, Pineapple, Aioli and Tomato Chutney). Holy cow, the Wagyu pressing against that white bun being squished with the tomato chutney with streaks of aioli just enhancing that flavour with every bite ------ sooooooooo damnnnn gooooodddd! My entree, which I had after the juicy burger with fries was a grilled chicken salad. NOW THIS IS A SALAD - crispness, sweetness, crunch topped with a mountain of avocado and chicken breast. niiiiiiiice! Honestly if I had to choose between the two I couldnt tell you because THIS WILL BE MY PERSONAL COMBO MEAL everytime I come back here from now own. Sure, I can't walk afterwards and I am tempted to unbutton my pants and I waddle out of the food court but this was one of the best lunch I've had in a long time!! Caffe Cherry Beans Darling Harbour, Sydney 7 months ago RATED For Breakfast I had the Halloumi Panini. I usually need meat in the morning but the freshly baked Panini and dense texture of the Halloumi was a nice change from the morning yoghurt routine. For Lunch I had the Chicken Wrap - thick chunks of chicken breast kept moist by the aioli or white sauce (can't figure it out) which added a nice glaze to the mushiness of the avocado. The coffee was great, however be careful, unlike many cafes they dont need to double cup your Long Black here, but when it spills over, the environmentally friendly cup doesn't like to stay intact when exposed to the elements - avoid during rainy days! Otherwise - great service, great food choice, perfect morning coffee!
