Coffee Pitt - Sydney

Quite packed for Thusday afternoon. The order was served within 5mins. Ordered green tea cake with cappucino. The whipped cream is drizzled with honey. Cake definitely makes life a little better

Great Service and Food<br/ <br/ We stayed in Sydney CBD and wanted to go to a local café for breakfast.<br/ <br/ The service was very prompt and professional. Because there was 6 of us they had to rearrange some tables to get our table ready for us.<br/ <br/ Our coffee was great and after a big night, our breakfast was perfect. Most of us ordered the big breakfast with fried eggs and all was great.<br/ <br/ If you are after a quite café, I recommend a visit to this café.<br/ <br/ I would recommend two things:<br/ <br/ 1- I think there should be waiters taking orders and not having the patron go up to the register and place the orders. When you come in with 6 people or even a small family, it is difficult to try and memorise everyone's order. Or they should at least put paper and pen on the tables so you can write down what you want and then take that to the register.<br/ <br/ 2- I think the sausages were not cooked as they should be. I think they probably needed at least another 2 minutes on the grill.

3rd visit ... still the cheapest ice latte in town , the food runner waitress was very lovely and so hardworking (she didn't stop doing things the entire hour we were there ! however the cashier waitress was really bored. Not rude just not showing any interest toward the customers.

On a lazy Sunday afternoon sounds like a song doesn't it we were wandering the city and desperately needed caffeine. Coffee Pitt suddenly appeared and there was one table free so we grabbed it. It's a smallish place that is clearly popular even on Sunday arvo. You order at the counter here, and it's right next to an attractive selection of cakes and other goodies. It's hard to resist, so Sir didn't!

Few places in Sydney make Melbourne-standard coffee but this place does. The first time I went there it was so chaoitic and busy that I had to leave without my coffee. But I gave it another try the next day and it was great. On the third day I had both my morning and afternoon coffee there. Friendly service and comfortable seating. Just needs a slightly better system for take aways on busy mornings.
