Baker Street - Swindon

This is one of the top clubs in town, with great music, friendly staff, and a busy dancefloor.

Every now and then, I venture out for a night in the town. My friend, Mr. Snarky, invited me to a leaving party for a co-worker at a place called Baker Street. I initially thought it was a street in Swindon, but soon realized it was a bar when I passed by. Walking down Wood Street at 10:30 p.m. during the week, I noticed that some places were open but there weren't many people around. When we entered Baker Street, we pretty much had the place to ourselves with about 18 people in total. The music playing wasn't very dance-worthy. The decor was dark but had an Asian theme. They have a wide selection of cocktails with a 2 for 1 offer every night. The staff seemed unenthusiastic, with one rudely clearing off items from a table. There was no warning for last call, resulting in a few people being refused drinks. They serve classic pub food and offer a Sunday lunch menu. It closes earlier than other bars in the area, so have a backup plan if you want to continue your night out.
