Village Vine, Wine Bistro - SWARTHMORE

This is a wonderful restaurant with a rotating, creative menu of fresh ingredients. Every dish is always perfectly prepared and the ambiance is wonderful. Great wine and cocktails too. Definitely worth driving into Swarthmore to check it out. It?s the bestrestaurant in DelCo.

Very little AC. We went on a hot day and I was basically melting. Not sure I've ever sweat that much in a restaurant before. But the food and drinks were top notch. I would just recommend going on a cooler day, or dining outside. Sort of a smaller place sobe sure to book a reservation.

Bait Switch at its finest.Food was ok, but a little expensive for a quick visit with appetizers. Wasn’t a fan of the wine at all either.My wife I both ordered flights of wine we were served 3- regular sized glasses. Being our first time at this place, we thought this was normal.Upon looking at our bill, they had charged us $35 each for our wine flights. When the menu clearly says $24. When questioned, the waitress said b/c she gave us a bigger serving, which I said she wasn’t clear about when we ordered. Nothing on their menu even states that there is an option for this.She was nice about it ended up fixing our bill to reflect the original price, but it still left a bad taste in my mouth.Then upon looking at my checking account, they took an additional $3 than what I authorized.I guess they thought my tip wasn’t enough based on their subpar wine bait/switch tactics. Consider the extra few bucks a parting gift if you name your restaurant Village Wine, consider serving some real wine. ?

Get the mushroom Swiss burger... It's a monster, and one of the best burgers I have had in a long long time.

Charming place I had the best burger I have had in a LONG time. Food was excellent! So nice to have a neighborhood bistro with a bar!
