Bidrage med feedbackAmazing ice sculptures with great lighting. It is open year round and is really close to the Hurtigruten terminal so it is easy to visit on the two hour stop in Svolvaer. The entrance charge includes a drink in an ice glass with the choice of alcoholic or non alcoholic and, more importantly, includes a thermally insulated poncho so it is still ok to visit if you are not already wearing polar gear. The entrance is along the quay to the left of the ship.
This is the first ice bar in the world. There are others in other cities, but that was the first. It was great with interactive sculptures, music and changing colour lights. Especially we enjoyed the chute and the throne you receive a free drink while you can enter and then pay for more if necessary. A ponchocoat and gloves are present as the temperature is -6°C. Many places to sit on reindeer skin.
Worth to go, suggest to take the option with 2 drinks. Visited on: Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No
I and friend visited the Magic Ice in Lofoten and we were quite surprised with the ice sculptures. The staff of the bar is ingenious, really nice people and the type of Lithuania that has served some of the sculptures and drinks is not only talented, but a great guy. We only give 4 stars because the music was strange and they did not serve hot drinks in the bar. The bar is usually -4 or -5 degrees, which is their cool, but then we can just stay a bit inside until we begin to freeze. Overall its great experience, even if it is a bit expensive, costs 250 with a drink included or 300 with 2 drinks. But you should see it more than a unique experience than just one night in a bar. It's a bar/art gallery. It looks like it's the first permanent ice gallery in the world. What his pretty cool!
Very nice bar at the port of Lofoten. It is worth stopping once. The bar is stylishly furnished from the outside. When you enter, you will be welcomed by the staff immediately. Inside there is a shop where you have to pay for the ticket for the exhibition and a drink in the ticket office. The price of 25 euros is relatively expensive, but it is worth checking. When you enter, you can also use a jacket and gloves for the exhibition hall. It is a bit more like -10 degrees in the hall, so it is advisable to dress well. The exhibition is attractive and there is an ice slide on the right side. The slider should be tried with caution. The bar is also well equipped, but because of the cold you won't stay long in this place. The drinks are classic and it is nice to drink from an ice glass. Especially the Argentinian employee of the Icebar Tromsø was very warm and open to talk to us about everything. You must see such a bar at least once.
