The room was big and inspired by the 18th century. It was a very nice and clean room. The hotel also had a beautiful garden with tons of flowers. But if you get a room facing the main street theres some noise from the traffic, and the old building isn't very isolated from sounds. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was okay, the food was good but the portions were way too small, and very expensive. The breakfast was also okay. Nothing special here.
The charming hotel, celebrating Amalia Erikson and her famous polkagris sweets, is very welcoming and lovely. Marta, our favorite, was friendly, funny, and made a fantastic Negroni. The rooms are not only picturesque but also very cozy. The breakfast spread is extensive and delicious.
We rated Amalia Hus as excellent because it excelled on every level. The room was lovely, dinner was fantastic, and the 5-course breakfast was unforgettable. The service from the reception to the restaurant was impeccable. One of my friends who had been to Amalia Hus in the past agreed with me that it is the only place to stay in Granna.
The service at this restaurant is definitely 5 stars, just like the breakfast. The dinner falls somewhere between 4.5 and 5 stars. It is located in a boutique hotel within a historic building, so the rooms are limited in number but are very beautiful. I would give the rooms a strong four-star rating.
