Star Of India - Sutton

We had a table booked for 4 people on the 9/3/24 at 18.30. At 20.30 we were still waiting to eat . We noticed that our half of the restaurant was full now , but noticed that EVERY table had no food on, apart from the poppadoms that you normally get at the start . We complained and was told they would check . We decided to pay up and leave as this was not acceptable. We came in to eat not just to drink . We didn’t expect to have to had wait 2 hours for our food. The manager came over as we wanted to complain again , about the length of time we had to wait .As we left we noticed that the other half of the restaurant by the front door, every TABLE was eating, where as our half nobody was eating . It looked to us as being a ploy to order more drinks while you have to wait .I will not be coming back here again !!!

It's a busy restaurant but an hour an a half and only a few poppadoms? Outrageously slow. Second round of drinks never turned up. Might as well go home and get some beans on toast.

Second time i havebeen here with my friends .restaurant was jam pack .we were lucky to get the table for 8.the service was lovely. friendly staff. Was very hygine will repeat again

The food was very delicious. We loved it. The atmosphere at this place was great and the service was excellent like always. I love this place!!!
