Safeway - Susanville

Usually a good experience. Like everywhere else it is getting too expensive.

Great selection of grocery items. Fresh produce and fruits; meats and dairy. Watch for the weekly deals, Friday specials, and For U deals for even bigger savings.

This is the nicest store of any kind in Susanville! Clean, well stocked, friendly helpful staff, and the items you buy will always be FRESH! Join the little free membership, shop wisely, clip the virtual coupons and you'll spend less than the other Not Very Super Market in town! Plus, to reiterate, your items will be FRESH!! I, also, due to an injury, shop on the app and have my groceries delivered. Right to my door, sun, rain, snow...Perfect!!

Clean, has a mediocre selection of vegetables and frozen breakfast foods, but not too terrible. Their deli is nice and refrigerated goods is plentiful. Very little bottled water selection, but has a refill machine, and the staff is friendly. I wish they would carry the large bags of the Brown and Serve Maple flavor sausage links over the plain only. They do have the maple flavor, but only in the small box. I suppose it's better than nothing, but the bag would definitely be better. The insane food prices here, and in CA alone, is literally doubled than where I am from, and you have to pay for bags! WTH? I know the bag-paying is a CA thing in general, but it's just so stupid. In closing, for the area, it's my preferred place to shop.
