Bidrage med feedbackWe went out for a date night with my husband, but unfortunately, we felt like we were treated as second-class customers. Although there were two booths available, we were seated at a large table for six instead of a more intimate and cozy booth. Once we were at our table, we were completely overlooked. We watched the hostess seat two other parties and take their orders while we were left waiting without even being asked if we wanted to order. Our experience here two years ago was far more pleasant and enjoyable. It seems that customer service is not their strong point.
Absolutely worth a visit! Tucked away in the charming town of Susanville, you might wonder if this is a place to come for a meal. But believe me, you’ll be pleasantly surprised! The food is consistently delicious – I haven’t encountered a bad dish yet. The atmosphere reflects small-town charm, and the locals frequent the spot. If you're traveling through and have a hankering for sushi, noodles, or anything similar, this is a must-try!
The food was absolutely terrible. I ordered a New York steak with shrimp, but the accompanying salad was just plain lettuce with dressing. The miso soup was basically just a cup of watery liquid with hardly anything in it. The shrimp was decent, but there wasn't much of it. The vegetables were good, but there were more of them than there was steak. Speaking of the steak, it was supposed to be 5 ounces, but I seriously doubt that; it was as thin as two strips of bacon and loaded with fat. I ended up spitting out a few pieces. I asked for it to be cooked medium well, but instead, I got a charred hockey puck. On the bright side, the fried rice was enjoyable. Unfortunately, the steak, which was supposed to be the highlight of the meal, was by far the worst part.
The prices have skyrocketed! The sushi is decent, and my husband and I particularly enjoy the El Guapo roll. We usually stick to our favorites when we visit—five sushi rolls and one plate of chow mein, which we used to get for a reasonable $60 for both of us. That’s why we kept returning. However, when we ordered the same meal yesterday, the total came to $109! That’s an increase of $40! This town is getting out of hand. I’d rather just head to Reno.
I can't recommend the sushi here. The fish didn't taste fresh, and the seasoning was unbalanced. The wasabi was lacking in flavor. While the service was friendly, there was quite a bit of confusion, and there wasn't enough soy sauce provided. Overall, I'd rate the food 2 out of 5.
