In the Mood for Thai - Surry Hills

The pad Thai is great, the curries are great good for a quite bite rather than a sit down formal dinner

Favourite Thai in Sydney great spring rolls, satay chicken, massaman curry and duck pad see eww. They also deliver which is great when you don't live in Surry Hills!

I was traveling alone. I was hesitating to step into restaurant crowded with people. I looked into this restaurant and found it looked cosy. So I had the courage to step into the restaurant. To my relief, the staffs welcomed me. I ordered prawn green curry, rice and a glass of wine. Green curry was flavored of coconuts and not so hot. I liked it. Even if you are alone, you must feel relaxed here.

Busy restaurant serving very westernized Thai food. Food is cooked with minimal chili heat and fragrance. Meals can be 'padded out ' with canned corn and carrot pieces, skipping Thai basil, beans etc. Minimal protein was served with three of our mains. A large serve of jasmine rice is served with all mains. Beer icy cold. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. They offer a $9.90 selected lunch menu. A meal here would satisfy a hungry stomach for lunch or take away but not more than that. Try Wandee Thai on Foveaux St, Surry Hills for cheap, value for money and great food (not sure they deliver and it 's more a phone in drop in and wait place and pickup, rather than dine in restaurant ambience lacking).
