Bidrage med feedbackPopped by to try their popular $2.50 turkish bread with a hommus dip and was overall very satisfied with my visit! Came at around 3:30pm and discovered the turkish bread was all sold out, but they offered to heat up some pide to eat with the hommus dip. The serving of bread is extrmely large for $2.50 and tasted and smelled absolutely delicious! Will definitely be coming back to buy their turkish bread.
Decent kebabs and great hsps! But always are a bit slow which is kind of annoying when u want something fast and easy. The kebab plate is a good choice
Reliably good for a long time. Wide range of Turkish food. The pide has a good medium level of oiliness and is very flavoursome. Although concentrating on takeaway, there's a reasonable dining area. This place has been successful for a long time and you can see that in the big crowds on weekend evenings.
Golden Pide is unadorned old-school Turkish Pizza. It's good pre or post pub food, has been here forever & will probably still be here when the current trendy Surry Hills Japanese & Indian restaurants have moved on. Came last week for a potato pide & spinach/cheese gozleme. To be honest they're not the absolute best pide & gozleme I've ever had but they're fine & it was an enjoyable meal sitting in the no-frills dining area watching Cleveland St hurry by. Both pide & gozleme were huge & served on boards with lemon & a scoop of dip, so worth the $13/$14. Not trendy but I prefer simple & modest meals like this to being disappointed & annoyed with over-hyped new dishes.
Classic late night pide stop off. Wouldn't trust it in the light of day, and yet it gets my green tick of approval after seven beers. Would come back when drunk...
