Al Taglio - Surry Hills

I recently dined at this charming little neighborhood restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I would suggest it for a casual evening out, but make sure to book ahead as it can get busy.

The pizzas at this restaurant are excellent, with good toppings and crispy bases. The gnocchi with lamb ragu was really tasty. We enjoyed the atmosphere of sitting street side and the service was friendly and efficient. The only downside was that the antipasto was not a great value.

I had an amazing pizza at this restaurant. It was the real deal.

The pizza at Al Taglio is quite simply the best I have ever eaten. Even though we have other very good pizza places in Surry Hills, Al Taglio stands out from them and is almost like fine dining for pizzas with interesting, more adult toppings on a small menu that changes with the season. The chef has won numerous awards in Italy for his pizza and the quality is noticeable from the first bite. Would thoroughly recommend Al Taglio.
