121BC Cantina & Enoteca - Surry Hills

This is now one of my favourite little wine bars in Sydney. we almost couldn't find it being tucked away in a little alley way in Surry Hills. When you walk in you see one large communal table that takes up nearly the entire room and to the left the wine shop. the communal table gives the place a real buzz. we were seated immediately then taken into the wine shop to choose our wine for the night, the wines were all from Italian regions, the hostess was very helpful when it came to choosing the right one for dinner she also explained the regions and the characteristics of the wine from that region. The food is Tapas Style we had 2 serves of the polenta and the ribs with fall off the bone meat. Everything we had was delicious down to the cheese platter at the end. highly recommended !!!! cannot wait for our next visit. Great for a couples night which is what we did

Small bar but amazing selection of exclusive Italian wines by the glass, so one can try an incredible diversity of grape varietals. The food was varied in plate size as well as content. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable & helpful.

Love this little wine bar. Great selection of Italian wines - I had to try 3 wines from my family's region which were all excellent. We had the salumi misti, shaved brussel sprouts, risotto and ravioli. All the food was delish. Great atmosphere and nice staff. There is also a bottle shop attached to the wine bar. Note - entry is on Gladstone Street - wish I had known before wandering the streets for 15 min but otherwise all good.
