Bidrage med feedbackWe were on our way to Lee Yuen (Best Chinese Food Surrey) when we spotted King Do and thought we would give it a try. It was Sunday night maybe half full, we didn't have to wait and got seated right away. And then we sat and waited and waited and waited. Not even a pot of tea or water, nothing for 10 minutes. We finally got the attention of one of the servers and all we got from her was a grunt and a dirty look and then she walked away. Thats when we walked away, went down the street to Lee Yuen and had a great meal. Lee Yuen was twice as busy as Kind Do but the service was excellent as always.
We were on our way to Lee Yuen when we saw the King Do restaurant so we thought we would give it a try. Sunday night not too busy, got seated right away and that is the only good thing that happened. The menu was typical and the prices average. We got to see the food at the table next to us and it looked ok. But that is all we can report. We just sat there while the staff ignored us. No tea or drinks were served or offered. Nothing for 10min , and when we finally asked a server to come over she gave us a dirty look and walked away. And that is what we did. WALKED AWAY. Went straight to Lee Yuen where we enjoyed great food and great service and no waits.
Vancouver is a place of abundance with wild salmon and game meat. Would be nice to be able to bring the catches somewhere to bring out the flavour ! King Do is the place frequented by our local friends here. The flexibility increases our popularity with the place. The chef specialises in Cantonese cuisine. Food tends to be on the sweet side. However, the family run business is accommodating and friendly. The price is good too and the take credit card, no tips demanded like many restaurants in Vancouver where the waitresses behave like piranas!!Gain my vote for Ease to park and ease to book a table. Good place to book a party or celebration!!Hope you find it helpful.
As My family and I stepped in that restaurant the waiter gave us the menu book, when we opened it OMG there was a bug in it. Not just that but I ordered one fried rice it was good but the second one looked like the rice didn't and it was raw DONT GO THERE!!!
Not the fanciest or most expensive but a family owned restaurant with slightly greasy but quality bang for buck meal. It has the full menu including my favorite crab with cream sauce and Peking duck. Although these two dishes are my favorite Chinese items, I mainly have come here for dim sum which also adheres to what I say about the restaurant, good Chinese food at a good price. Not necessarily easy to find when you live on this side of bridge.
