Akasaka Japanese - Surrey

Lunch boxes last until 3pm and they're such a great deal. When I'm in the neighbourhood I enjoy getting the Chicken Teriyaki Box for lunch as it comes out with so much tasty food! The box includes california roll, teriyaki, tempura, and salad so it'll really make you full. Staff are very welcoming and polite so it's easy to become a regular.

Outstanding food and service! Was introduced here by a local that's been coming here for the past 15 years.  Everything we tried was absolutely delicious and the private room made the experience feel more memorable. Highly recommend their special rolls, nigiri, teriyaki, and tempura!

Ooo still one of my fave Japanese restaurants!! Same booth style, take of shoes and convenient service button. Hostess, servers and chef are very welcoming. Food and presentation great taste/ look.

I brought my mom to this restaurant for her birthday in February. My mom is very picky when it comes to dining out and she is not afraid to speak her mind if she doesn't enjoy her meal. I usually have to redirect the conversation when the server asks us "how is everything?" This time, my mom surprised me by telling the server that the food was "actually good." She even mentioned that the last time she had sushi at another restaurant, the fish wasn't fresh and the service was slow. That's just how my mom is! She should have her own food blog, haha!

Akasaka is by far the best sushi restaurant in Surrey! The sushi here is so good it 's incredible. The four of us decided to order a sushi boat called 'Super Boat ' to share and we were amazed by how much incredible food came out. The boat included something like 18 pieces of nigiri, 18 pieces of sashimi, and 3 rolls! This restaurant uses fresh fish and ingredients and has great sushi chefs. A friend of mine also wanted to try one of their best special rolls so we got a recommendation from our kind server and ordered the Volcano Roll. The presentation of the roll was impressive as it was on fire and the taste was even better. The roll melted in my mouth and it was so delicious to taste the mix of scallops, asparagus, and snapper baked together with cheese. They also have a great appetizer called the Oyster Motoyaki which I highly recommend trying! I look forward to returning here for sure!
