The Red Lion - Surrey Heath

The location of this restaurant is fantastic, but I was disappointed by its lackluster atmosphere. I had high hopes that it would be okay and inviting, but unfortunately, that was not the case.

We visited this restaurant today while visiting family, and it was a pleasant surprise for both us and them. The pub was clean and welcoming, with attentive and helpful staff. We ordered gammon egg and chips, ham egg and chips, and a Guiness and beef pie with mushrooms. All three meals were excellent, especially the gammon which is hard to mess up. The ham was well cooked and moist, with perfectly cooked eggs that added extra flavor. The Guiness pie was flavorful and not overloaded with pastry. The meals were served with a standard salad dressing, and the chips were just right in portion size. The total cost for five meals and six drinks came to £88, which we found to be good value. The pub was cozy and warm, and had two TV's showing football without sound. Overall, this is a fantastic local pub that serves great food. In fact, we were so impressed that we booked Sunday lunch there the next day. Located near the M3, it's a perfect place to stop and enjoy a meal away from the usual mediocre services.

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch at this restaurant. It was great value and had a wide selection of dishes to choose from. The roast pork was delicious and there was plenty of it, along with a tasty gravy and an extra gravy boat if you needed more. I would suggest trying the cheese and biscuits with grapes and celery, or if you prefer something sweeter, the sticky toffee pudding or apple crumble. This is definitely my go-to place to eat, not just for the food but also for the excellent service and cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend making a reservation.

Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. A reall family pub. I went for lunch with a group of cyclists and we were all able to sit in the conservatory. The sandwiches were enormous and excellent and the service was wonderful
