Bidrage med feedbackHard to find a place that make okonomiyaki seriously. Personally I am a huge fan of okonomiyaki so might be biased:
Located off nice street for food in downtown Sunnyvale. Super fast service and zero wait on Sunday at 6pm. Ample parking in the street. Salmon sashimi large thinner slices math says to get the 7 piece over the 2 kids destroyed this Yaki onigiri off menu item picture from 3 y ago looks way better plain served with side of pickles, missing green onions, tobiko flavor is there but lacks texture Tatoyaki cheese (octopus balls) good flavor love the gooey cheese kids devoured this Okonomiyaki shrimp mnp likes this original style without noodles excellent, must order try different proteins Yakisoba deluxe best in show flavors on point comes out on a sizzling plate love that leaking egg Chicken Karaage Curry super filling and easily shareable between two adults solid per dbp
I have visited Fugetsu twice (although ordering a combination of items from Fugetsu and Rokko both times and still stand by my 3 star rating. In my most recent visit, we ordered the Fugetsu special bento. I feel like the rest of the items from the bento ex. the okonomiyaki were from Rokko because of the lower quality food. The okonomiyaki itself was not bad, better than I remembered. The other items in the bento were kind of meh beef gyudon had very little beef and more than 50% of it was fat; chicken kaarage was bland and not crispy; takoyaki was a little deflated; even edemame was super bland and tasted a bit sad. If I ever came back, I'd probably stick to just the okonomiyaki. And recommend others to do the same :
I have been looking forward to eating here for years so I was a bit disappointed in their food. We did come towards the end after a busy day so I am open to trying it again. I had the beef modanyaki with an egg. The food was quite salty and the pancake portion unfortunately was mushy. The deluxe yakisoba was even saltier. The beef part of the dish was really yummy and I think it would taste better on a rice bowl.
Came for dinner with a group of friends, and we all enjoyed it! Fugetsu is actually located inside Rokko and they're shared with no differences, so just look for Rokko when you're looking for the restaurant. We were seated quickly and the menu had lots of variety. We tried the takoyaki, a sushi roll, the modanyaki, and the yakisoba. The food came out fairly quickly, and all the dishes were good. The takoyaki was flavorful, the sushi roll was generously sized and tasted great too. I enjoyed the modanyaki and the yakisoba, though they were a tad on the salty side for me personally. Parking in the adjacent parking lot is a bit hard to find since it's quite busy, but there is a nearby underground parking structure that has plenty of parking. Just follow the parking signs!
