Sugarloaf Frostie - Sunderland

Stopped here with my husband and dog last weekend. My pup had a doggie sundae (vanilla soft serve and Milkbones), my husband had a milkshake and I had soft serve with peanut butter cups. All of us had food poisoning. I think it was the soft serve, which can be contaminated when the machine isn’t properly cleaned. Tasted ok, not the best. Very expensive. Will never eat here again.

Sugarloaf is a great stop for ice cream! I haven't tried the meals yet, but I do plan to return to this restaurant.

Sugarloaf Frostie has been a favorite my whole life. Reasonably price, great tasting food whether it's a burger, grinder, salmon sandwich, fries or anything else on the menu. The soft serve and hard ice cream are also a hit. The only thing to know is it is a cash only business.

Stopped for ice cream with my girlfriend and both got one scoop sundae......$18. What we got wasn't worth that much!

My truck broke down in their parking lot, so I had dinner there while waiting for a ride. The food was great—I had a couple of hot dogs and some onion rings. The real highlight, though, was the owners of the restaurant. When I told them my truck had broken down and that I would be back to retrieve it, they were incredibly kind and supportive during the three days it took to get my truck fixed. I highly recommend stopping by for a meal or some ice cream; these people are truly wonderful!
