Lai Bakery - Sunbury

Recently changed hands to friends of the Lai family. A bit hit miss with Banh Mi fillings to start off with. The rolls are back to their best. Give them a go. The Banh Mi are delicious!

Was really craving a Melbourne Banh Mi, so went looking for one close to where I was staying and came across 'I love Banh Mi '. Not many reviews but mostly positive. Was very happy I visited. Great Banh Mi but it wasn 't the super traditional style. There wa no pate ' and it wasn 't pulled together with a level of artistry, but was really good. Looked like they added mustard which I found unusual. Chilli was really hit which I loved. Will be back if I 'm in the area.

Great staff, great food. The bakery is under new management but they not only maintained the quality of the products that were already offered but also introduced various new items to the menu. The bread tolls are still the best and the sandwiches are simply delicious. The Danishes, bread sticks, slices and croissants are so good and also the size is generous. My favorites are the Roast Pork Sandwich, Escargot, Croissants and the bread cheese sticks,,, but I still have a lot of new things to try :

You have to go here, the most amazing pork rolls ever! Chicken schnitty roll is equally delicious. I'm addicted now.
