Bidrage med feedbackI love this place. I was there several times. If you want to be treated special, drink some good tea and eat good food, then this is the place. Oh, and the Scones are the best.
Wow! Where to begin...big tea, delicious food, great service a fun gift shop!!! Our server; Heidi was the best! So friendly, attentively gracious! We will be back!!! There are so many more teas to try!!!
My mother and I were here today to celebrate our birthdays. The food was amazing. The lemon chicken soup should die. Our waitress was the best. We will make this our annual tradition.
Once we parked, my thoughts were... cutely sweet!!!! The way to the Tea House is a beautiful garden. (NOTE: For my colleagues heel clothing... it is a difficult to go the walkway as it is gravel/dirt so you want to keep your Louboutin at home. The Secret Garden Tea Room is located in a Victorian house that is beautiful. It was a bit difficult to find, but Google Maps brought us right there. We came from Seattle to take you past a business field. The Secret Garden Tea Room is located next to a business building that was a little confusing, but TRUST Google Maps and you'll just do it well! Parking is available on the side of the house in its gravel square. My friends and I had made reservations to celebrate my best friend's birthday. On arrival, a man who resembled a concierge or host was waiting to welcome us on the veranda. When you enter the house, there are gifts and jewelry everywhere, with a small shop to the right. Tea Hat, Fascinators, Jewelry, Scarves, Clothing Galore! Our concierge/host immediately sat us and our waitress, Renee welcomed us immediately and assisted us in reviewing our menus. Our first task was to make our tea selection. They have tons of tea options divided into different categories. I prefer a naturally non-caffeinated tea and I was grateful that the menu made my selection easy to find. I chose a caramel red tea that was amazing! Each of us has its own teapot with our own special tea selection. Since I am gluten-free, I was ecstatic to find that the Secret Garden is offered on the menu in a gluten-free option. (NOTE: For gluten-free you will additionally pay $5 and are obliged to place your order by phone at least 48 hours in advance. I ordered the lark track. We started each with scoring, lemon curd, jam and a dipped cream. With my lark track, I could have had endless scones that I wish I had exploited because my GF-skeone was so wet and... But I wanted to make room for the rest of my order. The lark track arrived at a three-member stand. The lower stand with small tea sandwiches with bread, which is not similar to being gluten-free (in GF conditions, that means it was very good! The second class were savory items like a meatball, quiche and fruit. My top animals were about 5-6 desserts. Everything was bit great, but it was so good and surprisingly filled. I still desire the scorpion and lemon cured with whipped cream! My friends ordered lunch dishes with lunch items like: chicken pot cake soup, raspberry salad, orzosalat, pea salad, tea sandwiches... what they all said was great. Since it was my bestie's birthday, our waitress delivered her a free chocolate cake with a day candle. The price wasn't bad. The sum for the four of us was about $95. Compared to Tea Rooms in Seattle, this is actually quite cost-effective. Especially when it comes to gluten-free.... The ambience is very Victorian. Floral wallpaper in each room, including the bathroom. I wouldn't have it in my house, but it was perfect for the Secret Garden. You even have a small side sun room with two two-person tables... could be fun for a date when you get your love to get in touch with its female side. A disadvantage is that they only had one bathroom. Our party of four had the same reservation time as a party of ten. Both parties ended the same. Therefore, the bathroom was in high demand until they left. Overall we had from the beginning to the end. Customer service was super... We never felt hurried and even though they were busy, we never felt neglected. The owner even came out to imagine and welcome us. It was a very funny experience. We will definitely be back and next time we will be in floral dresses and tea party hats!
Visited for the first time today with my husband. We ordered the gluten-free larkspur tea. I was so impressed with everything! There were many little details that I appreciated, but the best part was the food! Unbelievably good. Any gluten-free person knows that GF baked goods are often lackluster at best. I didn't know that all the baked goods would be from scratch. I was extremely pleased, to the point where I asked if I could meet the pastry chef and tell thank her in person. What a gem! We'll definitely be back.
